Day 1 – Arrive in Rome, afternoon at Leisure
At the arrival meet our driver waiting for you at the arrival gate holding a sign with your name for the transfer to your hotel located in the old city on a comfortable Mercedes-Benz. The driver will be the person who will accompany you throughout all these days and be your personal assistant for any need. Before getting to hotel enjoy a drive around the city for a little panoramic tour… just for get a quick general indroduction of Rome. Rest of the day for relax.
Day 2 – Rome Sightseeing
After breakfast meet the driver with our local tour guide for an unforgettable sightseeing of 5 hours. Start in the Galleries of the Vatican Museum, home to the most celebrated art collection in Europe. The museum tour ends in the spectacular Sistine Chapel, the extreme expression of Michelangelo’s genius. Last but not least, you will visit the largest sanctuary of Christianity, St. Peter’s Basilica, where proportions appear to have been forgotten in an amazing triumph of marble, bronze and mosaic works. After a little lunch break continue the day visiting some of the most beautiful squares and fountains of Rome…The visits can be adjusted according to your preferences.
Day 3 – Rome Sightseeing
A new fascinating 4 hours private tour of the wonders of the Ancient Romans. With our driver and the local guide you will be transported back to the days of the Caesars and the Roman legions, as you visit, together with your private local guide, the Circus Maximus, site of Ben Hur style races, the Roman forum, and the incomparable Colosseum.
Day 4 – Rome, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast area
Meet the driver at 9am for the transfer to Sorrento located on one of the most beautiful coastlines of Italy. Along the way, we’ll stop in Pompei, the important archaeological site buried by the eruption of Vesuvio in 79 AD. Here you’ll meet our tour guide for an informative 2 hours guided visit of this incredible area. Will follow a break for a light lunch at a top rated winery in the Vesuvius Park (Terzigno) to visit the cellars and have a tasting of the local wine called Lachryma Christi. Arrival at your hotel on the Amalfi Coast by 5pm.
Day 5 – Mozzarella cheese, Paestum
In the morning departure with the driver at 9am to Paestum (about 1 hour and ½) where you’ll have a private tour with our guide: entering the ancient city is like engaging in an extraordinary journey through time, for the indescribable charm possessed by the well kept monumental structures. The wall around the ancient town is one of the most important examples of town fortification from the Western Greek period. Will follow the visit of a producer of the excellent bufala mozzarella cheese, very typical in the area….not to be missed! Time for lunch and relax, return to your hotel by 4pm.
Day 6 – Capri
This is going to be a full day on a wonderful island..! At 9am meet at the port our local tour guide and together imbark on the ferry to Capri – at the arrival enjoy the guided visit from the colorful port of Marina Grande to the glamorous Piazzetta where the world’s beautiful people hang out; from the ruins of Emperor Tiberius’ villas to the Charterhouse of San Giacomo and the spectacular Via Krupp. Take then the chair lift to the top of Monte Solaro and walk along paths leading to incredible rock formations such as the Natural Arch and the Faraglioni. Have lunch at the famous Piazzetta in one of the typical restaurants, our tour guide will be pleased to suggest the best according to your preferences. In the afternoon visit of the famous Blue Grotto (if the sea level isn’t too high). Return to Amalfi around 5pm.
Day 7 – Naples
At 9am meet our driver for the car ride to Naples. Once there meet our expert tour guide for a nice walking tour of the historical city: visit the Dom and Spaccanapoli, Unesco patrimony, with San Gregorio Armeno, the Nativity craftsmen street, the Cloister of poor Clariss, and the second centre of Naples including Galleria Umberto I, Piazza del Plebiscito with the Royal Palace and Francesco di Paola Church. Lunch in a pizzeria to taste the best pizza in the world..! In the afternoon guided tour by car, going from Mergellina to Posillipo, the beautiful hills of the city for a breathtaking view of the bay. Return to your hotel by 4pm.
Day 8 – Amalfi Coast, Sorrento
This private tour takes you along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Your first stop is at the enchanting Positano. The town develops vertically. The pastel colours painted houses are characterised by arched porticos that give onto the sea. You will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets that run downhill towards the main beach. From here there is a beautiful view of the sea, as well as of the town as it clambers up the mountainside. On the main square of Positano is the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta famous for its coloured majolica cupola visible from all over the town. You then continue along the coastline enjoying the flora and fauna, an area full of colour against the contrasting blue and emerald sea. On arrival at Amalfi you have the opportunity to visit the famous Saint Andrew’s cathedral (9th century). Its scenic position at the top of steep stairs give a particular flavour to Amalfi’s historic centre. In the serene blue of the sky and sea, Amalfi, guarded by its port, seems held in the palm of a hand.
We then continue to the elegant resort of Ravello, a town of natural beauty, exotic plants and relaxing atmosphere. Here you can have a traditional and delicious lunch at a restaurant with stunning panoramic views and authentic food and also visit the spectacular Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Back to your hotel by 5pm.
Day 9 – Relax
Entire day at your disposal. Free time for shopping or just relax on the beach .
Day 10 – Caserta, Rome’s Airport
After breakfast, depending on the schedule of your flight, departure to Caserta for a guided visit of the Royal Palace built by Luigi Vanvitelli and ordered by Carl of Bourbon. It was called also ‘little
Versailles’ for the park with an English garden, majestic fountains. After the visit, we’ll proceed to
Rome’s airport.
